COMING AT YOU IS A SHARP AND QUITE GORGEOUS DECEMBER 1982 SEIKO 7A28-701A IN NEAR MINT CONDITION RUNNING LIKE A CHARM.
- CASE: ALL STEEL CASE MEASURING IN AT 38mm ACROSS BY 42mm LUG TO LUG. THIS ONE HAS A VERY TOOL LIKE FEEL WITH ITS MATTE BEAD BLASTED FINISH. THERE'S A VERY SUBTLE YET SOPHISTICATED THIN POLISHED CHAMFER THAT RUNS DOWN THE SIDES OF THIS CASE WHICH SHOWS OFF THE HIGH QUALITY OF THIS KILLER CHRONO. I LOVE THE SILVERWAVE LOGO ON THE CASEBACK WHICH LOOKS EXTRA SPORTY.
- DIAL: JUST WOW!!! SO SIMPLE YET SO MUCH DETAIL TO TAKE IN. THIS FACE HAS A CLASSIC RACE DESIGN WITH THE MATTE BLACK DIAL AND THE TRI-COMPAX LAYOUT. THE WHITE HANDS GIVE THIS THAT CLASSIC SPEEDMASTER LOOK, BUT WHAT REALLY DRAWS THE EYE IN ARE THE 3 LAYERS OF DEPTH CREATED BY THE TACHY SCALE ON TOP WHICH STEPS DOWN INTO THE MINUTE TRACK WITH THE LUMED SQUARE MARKERS WHICH LEADS TO THE DIAL. REALLY CREATES A NICE SENSE OF DEPTH CONSIDERING HOW THE THIN THE WATCH IS. THE ORIGINAL CRYSTAL IS IN GOOD SHAPE WITH A FEW MINOR SCRATCHES
- MOVEMENT: THIS DUDE IS POWERED BY THE IN-HOUSE SEIKO 7A28 QUARTZ CHRONOGRAPH CALIBER, WHICH WAS THE FIRST ANALOG QUARTZ CHRONOGRAPH MOVEMENT EVER MADE....A TECHNOLOGICAL JUGGERNAUT BACK IN THE EARLY 80s. RUNNING ON 15 JEWELS AND HOUSING NO PLASTIC PARTS, THIS WAS A HIGHLY ROBUST AND WELL CRAFTED CALIBER WHICH HAS STOOD THE TEST OF TIME. THIS GUY IS A STRONG RUNNER AND ALL FUNCTIONS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. THIS IS BACK WHEN QUARTZ MOVEMENTS WERE AVANT GARDE AND THERE WAS A HIGH LEVEL OF SOPHISTICATION IN THEIR ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
- THIS SLICK FELLA COMES MOUNTED ON ITS ORIGINAL ALL STEEL SHUTTER STYLE BRACELET IN NEAR MINT CONDITION. BRACELET IS CURRENTLY SIZED FOR A 7" WRIST WITH 3 EXTRA MICRO-ADJUSTS TO SIZE UP +AN ADDITIONAL INCLUDED SPARE LINK. WITH ITS SPEEDMASTER SIGNED LOGO ON THE CLASP AND THOSE SEXY LITTLE CIRCULAR DOTS ON EACH LINK, THIS IS TOTALLY EARLY 80s MIAMI VICE STYLE SWAGGER. EVERY SERIOUS SEIKO COLLECTOR AND QUARTZ COLLECTOR NEEDS A 7A28 OR 7A38 CHRONO IN THEIR COLLECTION. THIS ONE HAS SOME SERIOUS EARLY 80s DECADENCE AND IS REALLY IN UNBELIEVABLE CONDITION.
